Tuition and Vacation Policies
All of Inner Spark classes are billed on a 3 month quarter system. Quarters are considered to start on Jan 1, April 1, July 1 and Oct 1 irrespective of the exact date for the first class within the first week. Tuition for the quarter is due by the 7th of the month when the quarter started. There is a $10 penalty per week after that. This fees cannot be waived. Once the fee is paid for a quarter, it is not refundable and cannot be swapped to a different quarter under any condition. A quarter will be considered as a whole unit and missing any classes in the quarter will not change your tuition.
Every time a student takes a break between quarters, a re-registration fees of $50 will be assessed when the student joins back. This fee is not applicable if a student continues for successive, contiguous quarters. If a class timing does not work for a student, they may switch to another class that is covering the same milestone at the same time and in the same quarter that the student was previously attending – again, the quarter MUST be running at the same time as the existing one. A class change fee of $25 will be assessed for every such class change.
A student joining any of the FTC classes will be required to pay a one-time, non-refundable, $100 consumable cost which helps us cover breakages of extremely expensive electronic parts. This cost will be paid ONLY once and added to the first quarter’s tuition and will not need to be paid again no matter how many quarters a student attends or if they go out and come back.
If a single student wants to attend two classes during the same time frame, we will provide a discount of 25% for the second class.
There are no refunds provided for any reason if a student misses a class that took place at its scheduled time. The vacation calendar for Inner Spark is posted online at http://innersparkrobotics.com/vacations/ and is kept up to date and it is the parent’s responsibility to keep track of the vacations. Classes are canceled on all Federal holidays except MLK day and President’s day and are also cancelled on long Weekends right before or right after Federal holidays (e.g. Friday holiday before a weekend means all Saturday and Sunday classes are cancelled and a Monday holiday means there are no classes on Saturday or Sunday), Halloween evening, Thanksgiving (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday), the day before Christmas and all the way to the end of the year and January 1st. If for some reason an Inner Spark class is cancelled that is not part of a scheduled vacation, you will be provided a prorated refund for that class as per applicable tuition paid.
